Approximately 4 miles, leave Highway 50 onto Old River Road, towards the levee. Just before the levee, a dirt road turns off to the left. The cemetery is a bout 1/4 mile down the dirt road, in a wooded area, and only accessible during dry weather. The cemetery is very heavily overgrown.

Land for this cemetery was donated by the Ellis family before 1900 when a family traveling on the White River asked permission that a child of theirs that had died be buried on the hill. The unknown child was the first interment, buried in the center of the cemetery in an unmarked grave. Of the twenty listed, eight are infants.

The Zion Lutheran Church originally was located on the cemetery property. The church later moved into Ulm and has since been rebuilt twice. Original cemetery records were destroyed by fire in 1930. This is still an active cemetery.

After you enter the woods you will need an ATV or walk.

Turn right and go about a half-mile and the road with turn to the left. Don’t turn – but go straight to a double gate. Go through that gate. Just inside the pasture is another gate on the right. Go through it and go about 200 yards to a farm pond. The cemetery is in a clump of trees about 50 yards below the pond.

Stay on Fairview to about one-fourth mile north of the Holly Springs Church. Across the road from the Wayne Walls residence at 1078 Fairview Road there is a gate across a dirt road that goes out into an open field. Take that road. The road winds back into the hills about half a mile. The cemetery is on the left of the road.

Just past the intersection there is a dirt road turning right. Go about 300 yards just past the tree line and you will see the cemetery on the right.
